Kindergarten

The Kindergarten students have been working on a PhotoStory 3 project. They wanted to help the incoming Kindergarten students get a better idea of what they need to know in order to be successful learners. Enjoy!

First Grade

First graders have been working on a Career Education Unit by exploring what people do for a living and what skills, talents and abilities make someone well suited for the work they do. Below is a Voicethread that first graders and their families helped to create. 

Quest Atlantis

Fourth and Fifth graders have been using Quest Atlantis developed by Indiana University through funding and support provided by the MacArthur Foundation and the National Science Federation.

Quest Atlantis provides a comprehensive curriculum where students have been working to solve missions and quests as they work to help save Atlantis.

Quest Atlantis is an international learning and teaching project that uses a 3D multi-user environment to immerse children, ages 9-15, in educational tasks. QA combines strategies used in the commercial gaming environment with lessons from educational research on learning and motivation. It allows users to travel to virtual places to perform educational activities (known as Quests), talk with other users and mentors, and build virtual personae.

Compass Learning

CompassLearning Odyssey® delivers standards aligned PreK-12 curricula that provide interactive, self-paced, challenging, engaging activities. Activities promote exploration, individual and cooperative learning, problem solving, reflection, and real-world connections. Odyssey applies current and confirmed research about how student think and learn.
